Malek, Natalia

geboren 1988 in Polen, ist Dich­terin, Kura­torin von lit­er­arischen Ver­anstal­tun­gen und Englis­chlehrerin. Sie ver­fasste drei Gedicht­bände, Busy After­noons (2010), The Spoils, illus­tri­ert von Joan­na Gro­choc­ka (2014) und Chord, mit Fotos von Anna Grzelews­ka (2017). Natalia Malek wurde mit dem Adam Włodek Lit­er­atur­preis aus­geze­ich­net und für den Gdy­nia Lit­er­atur­preis (2015, 2018) und den Wisława Szym­bors­ka Poet­ry Prize (2018) nominiert. Seit 2011 gestal­tet sie unter dem Titel A Room of Our Own im Kul­turzen­trum der Warschauer Alt­stadt eine Rei­he von Sem­i­naren über Lit­er­atur von Frauen mit. Dabei leit­ete sie Diskus­sio­nen über das Ver­hält­nis von Poe­sie und bilden­der Kun­st sowie amerikanis­che Lit­er­atur von Frauen. Sie lebt in Warschau.

Natalia Malek was award­ed the Adam Włodek Lit­er­ary Prize and short­list­ed for the Gdy­nia Lit­er­ary Prize (2015, 2018) and Wisława Szym­bors­ka Poet­ry Prize (2018). From 2011, she has been co-shap­ing a series of sem­i­nars on lit­er­a­ture by women enti­tled A Room of Our Own at the Old Town Cul­ture Cen­ter in War­saw, where she chaired dis­cus­sions on the rela­tion­ship between poet­ry and visu­al arts as well as the Amer­i­can lit­er­a­ture by women. She lives in Warsaw.
